This week is National Sun Awareness Week. Sun Awareness Week is a campaign led by The British Association of Dermatologists (BAD) which aims to highlight the dangers of exposure to the sun and to help us to develop good habits for being out in the sun. This is something which we would all have been learning about in school through PDMU and given our recent glorious weather, it’s definitely relevant!

There is a PowerPoint attached to help you understand the importance of staying safe in the sun, as well as a variety activities you could complete.

The teachers’ favourite activity is the 'Design your own hat' one; we would love for you to use your next break from the beautiful sunshine to design your own hat and to send your completed design to your teacher. We hope to be able to put them up on the website so that you could see each others' great ideas! Alternatively, you could create and send your own Sun Safety poster, those of you with the ICT skills to do so could create yours on a computer, Publisher is great for making posters.
